During her album's announcement, Jennifer Lopez references her relationship with Ben Affleck from This Is Me... Then, which marks the 20th anniversary.
This Is Me... Now celebrates the 20th anniversary of the singer's debut album This Is Me... Then, on Friday, she released her first album in eight years.
Her 2002 album cover, which depicted Lopez in a frilly pink ensemble, is transformed into a white corset and black leather jacket in a video shared on social media.
At the height of Lopez's first engagement with Ben Affleck in November 2002, This Is Me... Then was released.
In addition to the sultry R&B ballad 'Dear Ben,' which was dedicated to the Justice League actor, the album featured the music video for the lead single 'Jenny From the Block,' in which Affleck starred alongside Lopez.
Affleck's new album, This Is Me... Now, is similar to his previous collection. It features several songs devoted to the actor, including 'Dear Ben pt. II' and 'Midnight Trip To Vegas.'
Her forthcoming album is a culmination of what she has become as an artist and a person, Lopez teased earlier this month with Vogue.
There are many things people think they know about what happened to me along the way, the men I was with, but they don't know, and they often confuse things.' she said.
A part of me has made its way out into the open, and I am finally reaching a point where I can speak up about it.
After nearly a decade since Lopez last released her album, A.K.A., in 2014, This Is Me... Now arrives in 2023.
There have been multiple singles from the multihyphenate, including 'Dinero' in 2018 and 'Pa Ti' in 2020, and 'On My Way (Marry Me)' in Marry Me with Owen Wilson in 2021.
Before the beat dropping, Lopez will appear opposite Josh Duhamel in the upcoming comedy Shotgun Wedding, out Jan. 27 on Prime Video.
