British barrister and politician 'Suella' Braverman KC.served as Home Secretary since October 25 2022.
Suella Braverman held the job from September 6, 2022, until October 19, 2022, with a six-day gap under Liz Truss. She served as an attorney general for England and Wales from 2020 to 2022 and was a member of the Conservative Party. She chaired the European Research Group from 2017 to 2018.
Braverman ran as a contender for Johnson's replacement in the Conservative Party leadership election after his resignation in July 2022 but was dropped from the running after the second round of voting.
Braverman remained a minister during the July 2022 UK government crisis, although on July 6, she called for Boris Johnson to quit.
After the Sunak administration was established on October 25, Braverman was reappointed as Home Secretary.
Braverman is a member of the right wing of the Conservative Party, a proponent of Brexit, as the UK leaving the European Convention on Human Rights, and also on the shipping of migrants over the Channel to Rwanda.
In February 2018, she tied the knot with Rael Braverman. She described her husband as a 'proud Jewish community member'. She mentioned that his family donates to the Bushey synagogue while addressing the Asian-Jewish Business Network in 2021. Two of their kids were born in 2019 and 2021.
