On July 3, William Friend, husband of 'One Tree Hill' alum Bevin Prince died after being struck by lightning while he was on boating with friends near their home in Wilmington, North Caroline, the United States.
On Sunday, the 33-year-old William Friend was struck by lightning around 3:15 pm near Masonboro island. Marine Units were called and the local sheriff's and police departments responded after the incident.
Deputies tried CPR on William Friend while going to the emergency medical services. EMS attempted to bring him in an ambulance for 20 minutes but failed. Later, his body was then taken to a hospital to meet with family members.
William Friend was the chief executive of B2B platform Bisnow and helped the company attain worldwide recognition in the commercial real estate industry. He joined the company Bisnow fresh out of college in 2010.
