Social media accounts of Michelle Young and her ex-fiancé Nayte Olukoya appear to have been unfollowed. As far as I can tell, the 29-year-old former fifth-grade teacher no longer follows 27-year-old Nayte on Instagram.
Although photos of each other remain on both accounts, fans speculate that Nayte and Michelle blocked each other. The username and profile of Nayte were also removed from Michelle's uploads. Michelle is not tagged in any of Nate's photos.
It appears that the tags are not the only thing that has disappeared off both Michelle and Nate's pages, but it also appears that all of the comments and likes they have left on each other's pages have also disappeared.
As part of the engagement ceremony on The Bachelorette's Season 18 finale, which aired back in December of 2021, Nayte proposed to Michelle. ABC even offered them a $200,000 down payment on their future home.
Nayte, who lives in Houston, TX, and Michelle, an elementary school teacher in Minnesota, still haven't moved to the same state, so the long-distance couple announced their split on June 17, according to their Instagram accounts.
Ashley Iaconetti asked Michelle if stopping teaching in 2023 was an attempt to save her relationship with Nayte, given that Michelle announced before their breakup that she would stop teaching in 2023.
There was some discussion between Ashley and Michelle as to whether she felt Michelle would be more able to spend time with Nayte because of her career change or might even move closer to him because of it.
In Michelle's opinion, stepping away from teaching and having the summer off would have happened regardless of who you are, irrespective of their relationship, influence, etc.
Despite speculation that their relationship ended because of cheating, Nayte denied ever cheating on Michelle in late June. Nayte told Us Weekly via Instagram Story on June 25 that she had not cheated on her boyfriend.
His first Instagram post after splitting from Michelle emphasized that the two of them were searching for their soulmates when they started their journey. Friendship is everything to us. We will always be together.
Although we all can grow and learn about ourselves, we also do have the ability to realize that sometimes, the person whom we have held dear to our hearts might not be the one with whom we should spend the rest of our lives.
It will be a separate journey for Michelle and me. Despite our heavy hearts and high emotions, we are dealing with this as best as we can. Michelle thanked Bachelor Nation for their support and mentioned how hard it could be to have a public relationship.
