So much has changed as their children get older and become more independent, says the artist, 34, who, along with his brothers Joe and Nick, leads PEOPLE's list of 100 Reasons to Love America. Despite the transition, Kevin says that becoming closer to Danielle has been 'very amazing.' 'We're going through this new autonomous era and resuming our own thing.'
He and his wife, Danielle Jonas, married in 2009 and received their first child, a girl, in February 2014, with their second child welcomed in October 2016. The couple received their daughters after the band's split in October 2013, so it's no wonder that Alena and Valentina are still adapting to their father being huge musicians.
The singer is also more active than before, managing his real estate development company, JonasWerner, with his singing career and other enterprises.
His children, who both were born during the Jonas Brothers' six-year break, have apparently gotten to witness their father rock out again on stage in recent years. Kevin adds, The first time they attended a concert was on the Happiness Begins tour, and having them in the crowd and watching kids be a part of this period of my life is incredibly great.
It wasn't something Dad did for a long time. All I do while they're there is play for them. Danielle, a jewelry designer, says the event has been 'so amazing' in the nicest way for her and their two daughters, who influenced the couple's latest children's book.
Kevin and his brothers' focus will always remain on their family as they embark on the next phase of their life.' I simply want to be capable to be there and available as much as possible despite being pulled in so many different directions by the obstacles of our lifestyle,' he adds.
