As part of his move out of the ranch he shared with his ex-wife Kelly Clarkson, Brandon Blackstock has purchased a $1.8 million home in Butte, Montana.
After reviewing a deed transfer on the property, US Weekly reported this past April 18 that Blackstock, 45, had bought the stunning property following the finalization of his split with Clarkson, 40.
There was no immediate word on how much Blackstock paid for the home, which was listed for $1.8 million by Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Montana Properties.
Berkshire Hathaway reports that the home is spread over 4,800 square feet and has four bedrooms and two and a half bathrooms. The home sits on 40 acres.
The living room area of this home features vaulted ceilings with exposed beams finished with a custom finish. This property has a DaVinci fireplace and large windows with exquisite views.
In the home, a kitchen area has state-of-the-art appliances and a copper sink, quartz countertops, a butler's pantry, and a wine refrigerator.
In addition to a steam room and safe, the abode features a vault room and a safe. Other ranch features include a barn with loft and tack room and a greenhouse. There is a paved driveway that extends from a three-car garage to a maintained county road.
The outlet reports that Blackstock, who is a music manager, is looking to exit the entertainment industry and turn his attention to cattle ranching. As a result, he has renamed his company V Bar V Cattle Co, since it was previously known as Vintage Valley Ranch.
Earlier this month, he left the Montana mansion he shared with Clarkson, the outlet reported. The talk show host and singer filed for divorce from Blackstock in June 2020 after more than six years of marriage, saying they had irreconcilable differences.
According to a Clarkson insider, the former couple 'clashed on so many levels and were in quarantine together, which heightened their problems to the point of no return... Brandon is pretty laid-back, whereas Kelly is pretty high-strung.
The Montana ranch they lived in was one of the issues they fought over, as Clarkson was unsuccessful in her efforts to sell the property last August because Blackstock lived there, and her subsequent attempts to have him evicted last November.
The outlet reported in December that Clarkson 'had a major legal setback in her attempt to evict Brandon from the Montana property the court awarded solely to her.'
A source told The Associated Press that Blackstock has been living in the house and that he does not have the financial means to purchase a home of his own at the moment, citing the unresolved financial issues involved in the divorce proceedings.
This past March, the former couple settled their divorce, with a judge stipulating that Blackstock could stay until June as long as she paid Clarkson $12,500 each month for rent.
Clarkson receives primary custody of their two children, River, eight, and Remington, six, and must pay Blackstock $115,000 in monthly spousal support through 2024, as well as $45,600 in child support.
