The latest season of Big Brother is about to begin, and many viewers are eager for any and every information about it. However, Season 22 House Guest and Season 14 winner Ian Terry doesn't seem like he'll watch Season 24, particularly after confessing that he no longer finds it enjoyable.
One of Big Brother's most spectacular shocks was Ian Terry's victory over former winner Dan Gheesling in Season 14. Ian Terry spoke to EW on a number of subjects related to the game.
Terry expressed his dislike for the game's contemporary aesthetic when questioned about the filming sessions there, noting that the Diary Room is a significant contributor to that:
Online conversations about Big Brother have long brought up the subject of diary room sessions, which are cited as a key distinction between earlier and more recent seasons of the show.
The purpose of diary room sessions in the past was large to record a House Guest's train of thought and give them an opportunity to explain their plan to the viewing public.
The sessions aren't as in-depth and serve more as extra knowledge to support the scenarios in the episodes.
Given that he only recently returned to participate, it's kind of ironic that Ian Terry dislikes current Big Brother. Even though he doesn't like the program, Terry responded honestly when asked if he still watches it, sharing his most recent attempts to stick with the game:
Ian Terry is not the first Big Brother House Guest to declare that he will no longer watch the show, but he is undoubtedly one of the few victors to openly express that he believes the show has changed.
Until something about the current season really changes his mind about watching in, I'm not sure he'll be utilizing a Paramount+ membership to check the live streams or be tweeting his comments about the HouseGuests.
The first episode of Big Brother airs on CBS on July 6 at 8:00 p.m. ET. Prepare for the unexpected and watch as some new HouseGuests find their way to a sizable paycheck.
