Since Will Smith smacked Chris Rock, a piece of world news, the Academy banned Will from attending the Oscars for ten years.
Even the odds are in Will's favour as he is nominated in back-to-back categories at the Oscars.
Will describes his movie Emancipation as a historical movie based on true events and the story of Gordan.
Gordan, an enslaved man who used to pose for horrifying images of his bare, whipped back, helped the abolitionist movement gain traction in 1863.
A movie like this will make its way to many awards, and Oscar marks one.
Now that Smith is hard at work and giving remarkable performances, it will only be fair that the Oscars invite him if he makes it to the Best Actor Category.
Before the 2023 Oscars, Will apologized to Chris with a public apology online.
Will addressed all the questions regarding the slap and why he didn't get apologies from Chris. He answered everything and said he had reached out to Chris, but he wasn't sure whether to talk now.
In an interview, Will said the movie Emancipation is about the hard work of the team. It is only unfair if his actions are considered for a movie that can make it to the Oscars but gets discarded because of him.
To date, Will is asked about the slap, to which he answers it has nothing to do with his wife's children, and he apologizes. He even said that as a child. He would see the mother beat the father; it is just the Bubble that burst.
