Chris Pine and I broke up because of 'The Hills'

During her new memoir, Audrina Patridge explains that her work on MTV's 'The Hills' contributed to her split from Chris Pine in 2009. Audrina Patridge blames 'The Hills' for the breakup of her relationship with Chris Pine in the late aughts.

“It was not like him to go out and be followed by paparazzi — he was an introvert, and very focused on his acting,” the 37-year-old reality star recalls in her memoir, “Choices: To the Hills and Back Again.”

We lived opposite lifestyles in that sense since I loved going out and was usually filming 'The Hills'.When the former couple met at Las Vegas' ShoWest Awards in April 2009, Partridge was honored for her role in the horror film 'Sorority Row,

According to her, they avoided paparazzi by going out in Los Feliz or Silver Lake, East Los Angeles neighborhoods, and a fan once took their photo in a restaurant, which seemed to annoy him. A photograph of her leaving his home was also taken once.

As a result of Patridge's commitment to MTV's iconic unscripted series, she and Pine could not maintain their relationship. Having a hectic filming schedule and knowing Chris would not want to be on, she knew after a couple of months that she couldn't date him.

My life revolved around the TV show, and there wasn't enough time to do my job and see him privately.' The actor had a lot of demands on his time, and our lives didn't seem to align even though we had a good relationship.' 

Prey Swim founder, who appeared on 'The Hills' for six seasons between 2006 and 2010, says they parted ways amicably. Even after we stopped seeing each other, we talked and kept in touch a little bit.

The memories I have of Chris are only good ones,' she writes. My high compliment goes to him for being one of the most normal people I've ever met in LA.'A representative for Pine has been contacted by Page Six for comment.

The actress was also famously linked to Justin Bobby Brescia and musician Ryan Cabrera in addition to Pine. The former BMX athlete eventually married her and they share a daughter Kirra, 6; they divorced in 2018. 

During a Super Bowl party in February, Patridge was seen cozying up to actor Josh Henderson, according to Page Six.

It appears that both she and Pine are single these days. It was reported in March that the 'Star Trek' star and actress Annabelle Wallis had separated after nearly four years of dating.
