LeRae's contract ended in 2021. Her future in wrestling remained uncertain. However, some former NXT superstars began to appear on WWE television once Vince McMahon was replaced as head of the creative team by Triple H in late July. Late in August, Gargano made his WWE Raw debut a result, and a month later, Candice joined him.
LeRae said her ideal WrestleMania match would involve partnering with her spouse during a recent interview with Muscle Man Malcolm. On September 26, during WWE Raw, Candice LeRae made a surprising comeback, competing in her first bout since July 2021.
After his wife's September return, Gargano shared a picture of them on a wrestling stage with their son and wrote: 'Okay.. maybe Quill hasn't been my only training partner this past month. Welcome back, @CandiceLeRae!'
LeRae competed in wrestling for the NXT brand before disclosing her pregnancy. She was a part of The Way group in NXT, along with Indi Hartwell, Austin Theory, and Gargano.
Before pregnancy, LeRae and Hartwell won the NXT Women's Tag Team Championships, but they ultimately dropped them at The Great American Bash 2021.
LeRae's pregnancy news landed her on maternity leave. However, in May, LeRae revealed that she had decided not to extend her contract after it had already ended.
On the season-opening episode of WWE Raw, Candice LeRae defeated Bayley and earned a significant victory. On tonight's episode, LeRae competed against the Damage CTRL leader and won by countering a Rose Plant into an inside cradle. After attacking LeRae, Damage CTRL assailed Bianca Belair when she emerged to make the save. As a couple, they have evolved beautifully, and as a family, they have been getting stronger.
