Jo Mersa Marley, a Reggae Musician, grandson of Bob Marley, and son of Stephen Marley, passed away at 31. His death was confirmed on Tuesday, though the cause is still anonymous.

Marley gave birth in Jamaica and was nurtured in Miami. He followed his family’s musical notes and took the stage to the family band ‘Ziggy Marley and the Melody Makers.’

Marley started writing musical themes in middle school and made his first debut in 2010, releasing ‘My Girl’ with the collaboration of his cousin, Daniel Bambaata Marley. He made another song with his father in 2016 for Part 2, ‘Revelation: The Fruit of Life.’

Marley intended to create his path, so he released a new album, ‘Eternal’ in 2021. Alongside, he completed a studio engineering at ‘Miami Dade University.’ He said, ‘My plan is to create something new out of the crowds with my roots.’

Marley’s death was mourned over social media. Prime Minister of Jamaica, Andrew Holness, said, ‘My heartfelt kindness to his associates and friends and the followers of Reggae musicians. His premature passing away at 31 years is a big loss to the music industry.
