The pair of mother and daughter, Angelina Jolie and Vivienne, were spotted arriving for a meeting for their new Broadway show. They were combining their efforts to produce the stage version of SE Hinton's 1967 classic The Outsiders, which was adapted from the Francis Ford Coppola film of the story in 1983, and directed by Danya Taymor.

The 1983 movie, SE Hinton's 1967 classic The Outsiders, boosted the careers of Tom Cruise, Matt Dillon, Ralph Macchio, Rob Lowe, and Diane Lane. The musical premiered at the La Jolla Playhouse in San Diego in February 2023. The theater is known for launching successful shows such as Come From Away, Tony award winning. The director, Danya Taymor, 34-years-old, was the niece of Julie Taymor, the Tony winner and Oscar nominee. She was so known for bringing The Lion King musical to the stage, and not long after that, Frances Ford Coppola turned the book into a film.
