A ‘salacious’ anonymous report about Prince William's alleged affair has returned to the top of Twitter news

A Deuxmoi post on Thursday raised rumors regarding Prince William's alleged affair. As in all gossip, it is important to remember that Instagram stories are unverified, so take the following information with a grain of salt.

An anonymous submission by Deuxmoi contains a 'salacious' account of a 'British royal's extramarital affair' which they claim is 'an open secret in London and amongst the English aristocracy set.”

In addition, the insider said, “At a recent media event, I was told the real reason for the affair is because the royal is too old-fashioned to engage in pegging with his wife”

As they continue to say, 'the wife doesn't mind her and actually prefers she leave her husband's sexual needs to be met elsewhere, as long as they don't become emotional, as they did with the last woman.'

That nugget seems to resonate with royal watchers everywhere, who are looking to the Cambridges and their reported marital strife following William's rumored affair with Rose Hanbury.

This juicy tale, of course, only spiked Twitter, which trended the keywords '#PrinceWilliamAffair' and '#PrinceofPegging' all day long. Additionally, the story provided fuel for fans to express their opinions on the somewhat shocking content. 

There is one Sussex Squad fan who plunges right into the flames of the family feud and writes, 'I do not care if Prince William engages in extramarital affairs. There is no problem with him liking a little pegging. 

Even so, it bothers me that he and his wife used Meghan as a distraction from the discussion about their lives. There is no doubt that William is an extremely cool individual, and many people envy Kate. #PrinceWilliamIsAKing.”

Some Cambridge family supporters think this is a distraction from recent headlines about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, with one saying, '#princewilliamaffair & pegging trending today is a coordinated smear campaign for Prince William after insulting brother who got it, to drain the eyes of the news that he made taxpayers pay in his court.'

It may have been comedian Richard Jeter who won the Twitter war with his hilarious statement, 'Man, the next season of The Windsors is going to be amazing, and The Crown has to clock in an NC-17 rating.'

It's possible we would never know the truth about Prince William's alleged extracurricular activities, but it demonstrates that the royal family may have fewer protections than they think when it comes to rumors - the British public may not care about certain royals, but social media is changing the PR landscape for everyone.
