She has revealed that she has been 'hacking off my limbs' working on the documentary about her life and career, in which she offers a glimpse into her world.

As reported, 'Inventing Anna' star Julia Garner, 28, is rumoured to be playing the 'Material Girl' hitmaker, though nothing has been confirmed as of yet.

Earlier this week, Madonna revealed that she decided to make the movie as she found it disheartening how men wanted to tell her story in such a misogynistic way, according to femalefirst.co.uk.

The actress said: 'I've been through a tremendous amount in my life, and I have to make an extraordinary film about it.

I was also trying to take advantage of a lot of people who were trying to make movies about me. Mostly misogynistic men. So I put my foot in the door and said, 'No one will tell my story but me.'

In addition, she also ruled out any plans to sell the rights to her back catalog in the future, much like Bob Dylan, Bruce Springsteen, and Neil Young have done in recent years.

'Because they are my songs, and ownership is everything, right?' she said, according to the outlet. After Madonna's 1998 hit 'Frozen' became a viral sensation on TikTok, she released a trap version of the song in 2021, which was then remixed four times.

It was announced following the announcement of the music legend's plans to re-release her back catalog of albums.

'I'm just seeking ways to re-release my catalog in an interesting and fun way so that I can introduce my music to a new generation.'

In an interview with ET, Madonna revealed: 'The whole thing with 'Frozen' was so fun, but then one day I woke up and said to myself, 'I'm sick of living in the past.' I want to go on tour again, I'm a creature of the stage. That's my happy place.'
