Mystikal is being held in custody in connection with new rape claims that have been brought against him in the state of Louisiana, and he was taken into custody over the weekend.

Ascension Parish Sheriff's Office

A representative for the Ascension Parish Sheriff's Office told Media that the rapper was booked and processed on Sunday on a first-degree rape charge. In addition, the rapper was charged with domestic abuse, battery by strangulation, false imprisonment, and property damage. The charges were all filed on Sunday.

We have been informed that no bond has been set and that he has not yet appeared before a judge. As for the claimed events that led to this most recent arrest, the Sheriff's Office claims that their officers responded to a hospital after receiving a report of a sexual assault and that they interviewed the alleged victim themselves during their investigation.

Mystikal in the handcuffs

On the basis of that interview and the seemingly slight injuries that the police believe this person sustained, they came to the conclusion that there was sufficient evidence to go get Mystikal and put the handcuffs on him. The investigation is still going on at this time.

Claims of FYI

FYI, claims of a similar nature have been leveled against Mystikal in the past, even more recently. You may remember that in 2017, he was accused of rape in the same state, but the allegations against him were eventually dismissed due to a lack of evidence. He emerged victorious from that case.

Pleaded guilty

In 2003, he was additionally charged with sexual battery, for which he pleaded guilty and was sentenced to a period of incarceration that lasted for six years. We have reached out to his representatives for comment, but we have not received a response as of yet.
