Arceus is primarily on capturing and battling wild Pokemon, but it also has a strong crafting component. In the field, you'll be constructing your own Poke Balls as well as a variety of various forms of bait to lure wild Pokemon so you may catch them or flee quickly. Mushroom Cake Marketing (Request 6) is one of the earliest sidequests, and it requires you to locate a specific fungus known as a Springy Mushroom in order to manufacture a small Pokemon treat. Here's how you can get your hands on a Springy Mushroom.

To begin the side quest, speak with Morel, a villager in the Obsidian Fieldlands area who hangs out near the Fieldlands Camp. Before he appears, you must have completed a number of main storey quests. Once you've found him, he's on a small hill just next to the camp, and he's easy to overlook because he's standing symmetrically to a Galaxy Team guard. From behind, you might think they're just two sentries keeping guard, but Morel is a quest giver.

Springy Mushroom

Morel would like you to bring him a Springy Mushroom so that you can make his special Mushroom Cake recipe. You may already have a Springy Mushroom in your inventory, as they are not difficult to find while exploring and farming for materials in the normal course of the game. If you haven't yet encountered a Springy Mushroom, there's an easy (and cheap!) way to finish the quest.

Simply turn around and return to the village, where you will find the crafting vendor Anvin. Anvin works in a shop to the right of Galaxy Team HQ, which has its own crafting table next to a wood pile. Anvin sells Springy Mushrooms for 200g each, and you only need one to complete the recipe.

Take a Springy Mushroom to Morel, and he'll teach you how to make a Mushroom Cake. That completes the side quest, and Morel will also give you five Cake-Lure Base items as a bonus. These, along with other types of Pokemon bait, can be used to make more Mushroom Cakes.
