It is a painful fact that a kid knows that he is disabled and different from other kids. Robert Griswold had experienced the sad moment of being different than others when he was in a playground during his childhood days. But the pain made him enjoy the freedom immensely while swimming as the same as others. Freedom has a special power, right? That's why the enjoyment due to swimming and freedom makes Robert Griswold a competitor in sports at the age of six. Since before, Robert didn't get the chance to compete as a sports player, he enjoyed the competition and swimming as so much fun.

Arranged A Clinic To Expose Available Opportunities For Disabled Individuals

The majority of people must long for the chances, but after getting the advantages, they must utilize it and focus on their success. Only a few people will prefer to help others who do not have an idea about their opportunities and success. Robert Griswold is a person who wishes to enable individuals with physical disabilities for their enhancement and success by making them recognize athletic opportunities. Hence Robert arranged for a Paralympic swimming clinic when he was sixteen.

Fractures And Surgeries Doesn't Stop Him From Swimming.

People who love to play will play at any time they desire without worrying though they are ill. Alike Robert Griswold is also a sort of person who prefers to compete as a swimmer without worries about their injuries or surgeries. Due to a fall, there were several breakings in his body, and he underwent surgery in 2019. Within three weeks after surgery, he returns to swimming and training. And after one month again, he broke his hand by swimming into a wall. However, he competes in the World Championships 2019 in London within five weeks after breaking his hand. It seems like he enjoyed swimming as fun as a kid, which makes him forget about his pain.

Cerebral Palsy Affected The Fine Motor Skills, Not The Swimming Skills

Due to cerebral palsy, which is congenital, Robert Griswold's hips and knees were dislocated at his birth. Robert said that cerebral palsy affected his general coordination, running, walking, jumping, his hands a little, and his fine motor skills. But those issues don't stop Robert from enjoying swimming, winning medals in Paralympics, and making multiple world records in swimming.
