The new series from Star Wars on Disney Plus is here: A perfect blend of fantasy to reality. It is a two-part premiere that connects an artifact taken possession of at the beginning of the series. That artifact was acquired by Ahsoka Tano during the raiding that was previously their property.

History of the Witches of Dathomir

Simply speaking, the Witches of Dathomir are the powerful sorceresses of the Nightsisters Clan. Night sisters of Dathomir was first dropped in the novel, The Courtship of Prince Lele, by the Star War Franchise. It was a group of forced witches more forbidding than many Jedi combined. 
These witches’ dwells on planet Dathomir where Darth Maul also relates. Have you heard about him? Good ear! Darth Maul made his appearance in ‘The Phantom Menace,’ but there is a much bonkers backstory. Dathomir is a world of unnatural connections with the Forces. As
Ahsoka who are the Witches of Dathomir are the users of Force who wields Magick, a different type of power that only females can exert. Although all Dathomiri people are force sensitive, Magick can only be exercised by the Witches of Dathomir. These Nightsisters tapped the Dark Side energy of the planet, making them incredibly powerful.
Nightsisters interact differently with the Force as compared with Sith Lords and Palpatine. The term “witches” really applies here as the Nightsisters cast spells by drawing a magical ichor with their planet. It gives them enough power to reanimate dead bodies and even evoke objects into existence. These Nightsisters warriors also have a unique way of attacking their opponent. They fire bolts of pure energy with a bow while using totems to further increase their magic.

Connection of Nightsisters and Emperor Palpatine

At one point in time, there existed several tribes of Nightsisters on Dathomir. These tribes were united under the matriarch of Mother Talzin. The Nightbrother, a complementary clan like the former one, also has served the Nightsisters in the past as warrior servants and assassins.
Palpatine first encountered the Nightsisters when he went to Dathomir in search of an apprentice. But he chooses the wrong path and decides to kidnap young Darth Maul, son of Mother Talzin. The consequences of this action are bizarre as Talzin started a long yet quiet campaign of vengeance against the senator. Talzin even plotted to take Palpatine’s place to rule the galaxy in answer to her revenge.
