Seeing Abigail Klein reveal herself to be Steve and Kayla's daughter in Days of Our Lives: Beyond Salem, Chapter 2, is sure to be an exciting moment. However, Stephanie's debut was expected to be a momentous one. Ron Carlivati, head writer of Soap Opera Digest, explains that they were trying to decide the best way to introduce her. "I had an idea that we didn't pursue."In the words of Grease, tell us more! In Episode 1, the scribe continues, "I wanted you to see her portrayed by Shelley Hennig, but something would happen to her.

At the end of the fifth episode, she'd be injured in the hospital, and they would take the bandages off to reveal our new actress." It was like seeing a whole new Stephanie."It was simply not meant to be. "Shelly was working on Teen Wolf at the time, so we couldn't do the wink-wink and the face change that we had planned," Carlivati says. The only thing we did was introduce Abigail without injuring her face."
