Linda Kramer, the wife of Aerosmith drummer Joey Kramer, dies at age 55

A representative for the musician confirmed the sad news to news outlets, saying the rocker's wife of 13 years died on June 22. The cause of death is unknown at this time. According to an obituary in the Boston Herald, the couple wed in 2009, with the musician calling her "the love of his life." Linda loved Joey deeply and always put his happiness first,” the obituary read, adding that “she loved her family, especially her nieces and nephews.”One day before she died, Linda tweeted a happy 72nd birthday wish to her husband. I wish you a very happy birthday, my love! "You are the most amazing man with the biggest heart I know. I love you, my sweet boy," she wrote.

She was born in Decatur, Ga., in 1967, according to her obituary. At age four, she moved to Houston, Texas. Her most recent role was contract administrator for Hewlett-Packard in the tech industry. Linda was described in her obituary as a person who "loved to laugh" and had "a wicked sense of humor." In her obituary, she wrote about her “unwavering devotion to Lucy and Cosmo, their beautiful family dogs.”She also leaves behind her husband, parents, three sisters, stepsiblings, and stepson Jesse, along with the two dogs she shared with the rocker, Lucy, and Cosmo.

Just months earlier, Kramer had announced he would not be joining his bandmates in Las Vegas this summer for their Deuces Are Wild residency. Rocker Joe Perry took a "temporary leave of absence" from Aerosmith due to family reasons." He has regrettably decided to miss the band's concerts in 2022 in order to devote his full attention to his family during these uncertain times," the band informed USA Today in March. "He looks forward to future performances with the band."In May, the residency was canceled after Steven Tyler checked himself into rehab following a recent relapse.

The band stated on Instagram, "Our beloved brother Steven has been working on his sobriety for many years.". He recently relapsed after foot surgery to prepare for the stage and pain management during the process. He has now voluntarily entered a treatment program so he can focus on his health and recovery.".After checking out of rehab this week, Tyler is now reported to be out of it. There was a report that he stayed longer than the 30 days he was supposed to be there.
