While the series got a huge number of views, it’s fair to say that the cast was well and that the story was great too. However, this part of the season, in many places, made no sense in showing the relationship between Amy and Rory. It seemed that in many places, the relationship and their love scenes were either forced or made no sense in the middle of the scene.
The actress who played Rory and the actor who played Amy seemed like a mismatched couple and somewhere it also gave viewers a hint that these romantic scenes are either dragging the story or as if they shouldn’t be done the way they are shown.
Why aren't the fans happy about the ongoing chemistry between Amy and Rory?
Since the genre is sci-fi and the series is involved in time traveling, what made the fans angry is to know that the story turned to some other chapter in the next episode where it was seen that out of nowhere Amy and Rory are sent back in time and there was no farewell, no departure and sadly no happy ending for them to which the viewers think that their relationship seemed forceful where they failed to project their feelings in each other’s hearts. What made the fans disheartened to the core is knowing the duo traveled three seasons together with the doctor but seemingly they failed to project their ongoing chemistry into the hearts of people and their hearts as well. While Amy and Rory were seen together since the beginning but couldn’t portray a better ending or you can say that their farewell episode wasn’t planned the way it should be done, it left the fans disappointed to the core. As per the expectations of the fans, there should have been a proper ending of their relationship or there should be a proper episode that’s solely dedicated to Amy and Rory. It’s because while they were seen together in three seasons, the love and relationship they built in fans’ hearts made sure that even if their tenure was about to get ended, they wouldn’t say fans goodbye to the way it was seen in Doctor Who. It should have dedicated a whole episode to the couple where their ending should be seen instead of showing it casually that all of a sudden they are sent back in time through time travel and it’s all finished.
Doctor Who has made its fans a bit disappointed by carrying the story quite in a different manner where it was seen that the duo of Amy and Rory which was loved by the fans for the chemistry they showed, it should have supposedly shown how they met for the last time or how their story got ended rather than finishing it so casually. Out of nowhere, they can’t be sent back through time travelling with zero romance and love scenes because it’s obvious they were seen together for three seasons so they should have ended on a happier note.
