90 Day Fiance: After he and his son were reported missing amid custody disputes, Paul Staehle speaks out

While 90 Day Fiancé's Paul and Karine Staehle haven't been active within the franchise for a while, they've been in the spotlight plenty of times since their stints ended, because of social media drama and legal issues. Paul and his three-year-old son, Pierre, were reported missing amid custody issues the dad has been experiencing as of late.  The alarming news prompted Paul to take to social media and share his side of the story. Several 90-Day Fiancé viewers became aware of this situation after they appeared on a now-deleted bulletin published by Missing People In America.

According to TMZ, the report was filed by CPS officials in Lousiville, Kentucky, who had already taken Paul's 16-month-old son, Ethan, from his mother's house. Paul posted about the situation on social media, calling it sad Eventually, Paul told media outlets he wasn't missing but was on a work trip with his eldest son, Pierre. According to the 90 Day alum, he has been traveling through Pennsylvania and Florida in search of work since early June. He took Pierre with him because his son suffers from separation anxiety. As soon as possible, Paul intends to return to Louisville and hopes to regain custody of his children through himself or his parents. Karine appears to have been away from Paul since at least January 2022. In a since-expired post from her Instagram Stories (via John Yates), Karine, or possibly someone speaking on her behalf, addressed the issues.

She stated in the statement that she is doing everything the law allows her to do and will speak more about it on social media shortly. CPS has not made public specific information regarding what led them to remove the couple's children. In recent years, Paul and Karine have posted several troubling and surprising things about each other. In past police reports, Karine alleged that her former partner sexually assaulted her and tried to kill him by putting glass in his food.  Paul and Karine are unlikely to return to 90 Day Fiancé for another season given their legal troubles. It is hoped that the two will continue to follow the law and that this troubling situation will be resolved safely and securely for everyone.
