Reason for police officer’s visit to Jefferson’s home

When Fort Worth, Texas, police attended an "open structure call" in the 1200 block of E. Allen Avenue at about 2:30 a.m. on October 12, 2019, Jefferson was slain. A neighbor notified authorities that Jefferson's front door was open.

The neighbor requested police to check on the Texas woman out of worry for her safety after noting that her front door was open while Jefferson, 28, and Zion were playing video games when the call was placed.
