Unlike the book, the theater production uses mime, dance, and music to tell the story. The two fly to the North Pole on this magical Christmas journey. During the evening performance, "Walking in the Air" is the only piece of music by Howard Blake.

Cirque Dreams Holidaze, not affiliated with Cirque du Soleil, tours the U.S. during the holidays. Cirque Dreams Holidaze will demonstrate that although Frosty the Snowman came alive and was awesome, it is just silly kids' stuff. Gingerbread men flip mid-air, toy soldiers juggle on high wires, and reindeer soaring high above the audience.
