'America's Got Talent host, Nick Cannon, 41, shares his views on monogamy. The father of seven and R&B duo DVSN sat down with dating site Ashley Madison's resident sex therapist and author of Open Monogamy, Dr. Tammy Nelson, to discuss the concept of "open monogamy" on YouTube Live Thursday night.

The television host would never judge someone for how many kids they have. He insisted that he would not be concerned if a potential romantic partner had the same amount of kids as him.

He said, "My lifestyle only merits me to respect someone ... I would just be a hypocrite to the whole thing. Now, am I going to say I like it? Would I choose that? We also don't really choose who we love or where our emotions take us." He added that he has been involved with "women who have 4, 5, 6 children in a household at the same time."

Cannon continued, "And it's been some of the most lucrative and strong friendships and passionate relationships that I've ever had because … I would never judge someone based on the number of children they had. Particularly when they're a great parent."

As per data from Ashley Madison, non-monogamy- romantic relationships that aren't exclusive and feature multiple partners, are becoming more and more accepted by society, particularly among younger folks.

What has the AGT host previously said about monogamy?

The dating site, whose tagline is "Life is Short. Have an Affair," says nearly a quarter (24%) of Americans say society would benefit from a shift toward non-monogamy, including 40% of Gen Z and Millennials. The study also found that 26% of Americans say their ideal relationship is something non-monogamous.

While appearing on The Language of Love podcast with Dr. Laura Berman in February, Nick Cannon said, "You can still make covenants without getting the government involved, where two individuals admit, 'We decide to be monogamous because we value this very much, we don't want anybody to be a part of this energy we have,' also I don't feel like that's healthy."

He added, "I don't think monogamy is healthy. I sense as that gets into the space of selfishness and ownership." However, Cannon opened up about the possibility of settling down while speaking on the 'All the Way' with Shelley Wade podcast last month, "I'm a hopeless romantic at the end of the day, so I love the concept of marriage, I love the ceremony of it."

Cannon added, "I've failed miserably so many times at monogamy and relationships, but God ain't done with me.

We're gonna figure it out." Nick Cannon shares 11-year-old twins Moroccan and Monroe with ex-wife Mariah Carey, 5-year-old son Golden and 18-month-old daughter Powerful Queen with Brittany Bell, 12-month-old twin sons Zion and Zillion with pregnant Abby De La Rosa, and is also expecting another baby with Bre Tiesi.
