Although a multi-millionaire, boxing legend Mike Tyson has revealed his struggles with money with his wife despite being close to death. A trauma and addiction therapist told Mike Tyson's podcast, "Hotboxin' with Mike Tyson," the former heavyweight champion feels his time has come to an end. My face is almost completely covered with those little spots, and I look in the mirror and say, "Wow." That means it's time for me to expire.
Continuing with his morbid conversation, Tyson stated 'money doesn't mean anything to me' and that it offers a false sense of security. When you have a lot of money, you can't expect anybody to love you,' he added.
People think money will make them happy since they've never had money before. Money makes you believe that you're invincible, which isn't the case. In addition, Tyson said he speaks with his third wife, Lakisha Spicer after she stated money will provide her with long-term security after his death.

In what way is security defined?’ I asked. I'm not sure. If you put money in a bank, you get a check every week and you can live for the rest of your life, does that make you secure? There is no guarantee that you will not contract a disease or be struck by a car. Is money enough to protect you from falling off a bridge? When Tyson was 18 years old, he beat Hector Mercedes in his first professional bout.
As well as being the first heavyweight boxer to simultaneously hold the WBA, WBC and IBF titles, 'Iron Mike' also unified these titles in succession.
After serving three years in prison for raping teenager Desiree Washington in 1991, he declared bankruptcy in 2003, having earned over $30 million for several fights and $300 million over his career.

He is also infamous for biting Evander Holyfield's ear during their June 1997 fight. During the fight in Las Vegas, a piece of Holyfield's right ear was severed in the chomp and recovered on the ring floor.
