Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly set the record straight about whether they are married

Fans have speculated that Machine Gun Kelly and Megan Fox have secretly married. The speculation began after the 32-year-old musician called the 36-year-old actress "wife" during his Billboard Music Awards performance in May. He further added fuel to the fire by referring to Fox as a "marriage icon" in his new documentary, Machine Gun Kelly's Life in Pink, on Hulu. Now, Fox and Kelly have clarified their relationship status. On the red carpet at the premiere of his documentary on Monday, ET's Rachel Smith spoke to MGK, whose real name is Colson Baker.

MGK explained that referring to Fox as his wife is a sign of respect. "I don't think it felt like my girlfriend when I spoke about terminology," he said. Those words seem adolescent compared to the depth of our relationship." Fox made a similar statement when she crashed the interview on Monday, sharing that the couple will get married when it is appropriate. She stated, "He's got all the names.". She added, "No [we are not married], we do not know what is happening. He is on tour this year, when it is time, the world will open up and allow it to happen."

Fox didn't exaggerate when she said her fiancé has all the names. On social media, MGK has referred to her as everything from his "twin flame" to his "ethereal light being" when giving sweet tributes to her on any given occasion. Kelly talked to ET on Monday and explained how his 12-year-old daughter Casie is an inspiration to him -- he said he was wearing all pink because it is her favorite color. I spoke to her last night about the documentary, in which Casie is heavily featured in. She has not seen it. "She speaks so honestly and clearly. She will be a better person than I am. She will learn from the obstacles I have faced."

In January, MGK and Fox announced their engagement. It was July of 2020 when Fox and Kelly sat under the banyan tree and asked for magic. They were unaware of the hardships they would face together over the next few months and years, Fox wrote alongside a video of the moment Kelly popped the question. Unaware of the effort and sacrifice that he would need to make for us to maintain the relationship, yet intoxicated with the love and the karma."
