George Clooney isn't playing Batman in The Brave and The Bold, affirms James Gunn

James Gunn, the praised producer as of late, assumed responsibility as the co-Chief of DC Studios. The well-known filmmaker is currently working on redesigning the DC Universe and designing the upcoming films in the franchise. James Gunn is set to coordinate the aggressive task of DC Studios, Superman: Legacy.

In addition to the upcoming Superman movie, the director is working on some of the studios' most important upcoming projects, such as Batman: The Brave and The Bold. After DC Studios affirmed that another Batman project is under making, a few hypotheses regarding its star project have been doing the rounds. 

It was reputed that senior entertainer George Clooney could play Batman again in the forthcoming venture, The Valiant, and The Striking, following his new re-visitation of the DC Universe with the film The Glimmer. After DC Studios confirmed that Andy Muschietti, the director of The Flash, would be in charge of the project, fans began to believe that Clooney would reprise his role as Batman.

However, in a recent conversation with his followers on the social media platform Threads, James Gunn confirmed that George Clooney is not in Batman: The Brave and The Bold. "James, can you confirm whether George Clooney plays Batman in the DCU? "Some people seem confused about who will be Batman in your DCU," a fan asked Gunn during their conversation. "Loved the cameo in The Flash." The director responded, "He isn't," affirming that the senior entertainer isn't a piece of the film.

Batman: was announced by DC Studios co-CEO Peter Safran and James Gunn: The Brave and The Bold in January of this year, when the banner's forthcoming projects were announced. The project is based on the Batman graphic novel by Grant Morrison, which has the same name.

In the upcoming Batman film, a maturing Bruce Wayne, otherwise called Batman, will meet his child Damian Wayne, whom he had no clue was there. Damian grows up to be a powerful but violent teen because a group of assassins raised him. 

How the alienated dad-child pair's bond develops over the long run shapes the plot's core. According to reports, the DC team and director Andy Muschietti are currently finalizing the main cast for the movie, which is scheduled to open in theaters by the end of 2023.
