Dae David Michael Hasselhoff, more commonly known by his nickname 'The Half,' is a famous American singer, actor, businessman, and producer. He was first noticed in The Young and the Restless, the American TV soap opera.

The show was a hit not only in the US but in other countries as well. His popularity rose when he started acting in the American action drama Baywatch. The show is among the most watched shows in the history of television. Although people consider David a TV star, he has also done various films.

He played an important role in the movie Click, an American science fiction movie. Frank Coraci directed the movie, and it was also nominated for the Oscars. The actor was also part of DodgeBell: A True Underdog Story, an American sports comedy movie written and directed by Rawson Marshall Thumber.

David Hasselhoff’s childhood and early life

David Michael Hasselhoff was born in Baltimore, Maryland, the US, on July 17, 1952. His father, Joseph Vincent Hasselhoff, was a business executive, and his mother was a housewife.

David spent most of his childhood in Jacksonville" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Jacksonville, Florida, and later on in Atlanta, Georgia. He attended Marist High School. The actor made his theatrical debut at the age of 7 with the famous play Peter Pan. From that time, David wished to be successful on Broadway.

David did his graduation from Lyons Township High School in the year 1970. He took a degree in theatre from the California Institute of Arts. For higher studies, he joined Oakland University.

David Hasselhoff became popular with the American series The Young and the Restless, where he played the character of Dr. Snapper Foster. The creators of the show were William Bell and Lee Philip.
